the story of a rich old man and a farmhand

Hello. Did you have a good day? Let's start the day with meditation for a happy life.

Once Upon a Time

Once upon a time, a rich old man lived with his servants. One day, the rich old man gathered his servants together and said:

"Tomorrow, I will give you all freedom."

The servants were delighted and excited by the unexpected news. They were so thrilled that they could barely contain their excitement.

That evening, the old man brought a bundle of straw. He handed out the straw sheaves to the servants and told them to make bags.

Some servants sarcastically cursed the old man.

"You've pampered yourself for so long, and now, with only one night left, you're making us work again?"

They grumbled, made their bags as small as possible, threw them aside carelessly, and fell asleep.

But the other servants thought:

"We only have one day left. Let's do our best and go out with a sense of pride."

With that in mind, they carefully made large, sturdy bags overnight.

The Next Day

When morning came, the old man gathered the servants and said:

"Bring your own bag and follow me."

He opened the warehouse door wide.

"Take as many gold coins as you can carry in the bags you made yesterday."

At the old man's words, the servants' expressions changed drastically.

The servants who had cursed the old man and hastily made small bags could only take a few gold coins.

But the servants who stayed up all night and carefully made large, sturdy bags went out with their bags filled to the brim with gold coins.

The Lesson

In our daily lives, we often deal with work reluctantly and complain about it. Even though our time is limited, if we don't do our best in the present moment, countless opportunities will slip by us.

Have you ever felt unlucky and thought, "Why doesn't luck come my way?"

As the saying goes, luck only comes to those who are prepared. If you give your best today, won't you have a brighter tomorrow?

I hope you are happy today.

May your day be filled with joy and fulfillment.
